The Sydney Harbour Bridge Offramp - North Side

Experience Sydney's newest cycling milestone — the long-awaited Harbour Bridge cycleway ramp that opened in January 2026. After four decades of advocacy, the infamous 55 steps at Milsons Point are now bypassed by a stunning 170-metre serpentine ramp with a gentle 5% gradient.
The route showcases remarkable design details: Aboriginal artwork depicting intertwining eels travelling north and south, symbolising the connection between Gadigal and Cammeraygal peoples. Look down at the 130,000+ granite pavers sourced from the same Moruya Quarry that supplied stone for the bridge's iconic pylons back in the 1930s.
Starting from Bradfield Park, glide up the sculptural steel ramp with its 1,500 bronze balustrades finished in heritage bridge grey. The new plaza at the base offers a bike repair station and water fountain — perfect for topping up before or after your harbour crossing.
Whether you're on an e-bike, cargo bike, or riding with kids, this step-free connection finally makes the bridge accessible to everyone.
